Captured on the shores of Lake Hood, the world’s busiest floatplane base. In summer, wild lupine grows along the water’s edge while planes land and take off in the background. I return to this spot often to photograph the contrast of vibrant alpine wildflowers against Alaska’s working aviation landscape.
